Protected by Amulets
An angatkuq (shaman) was not always there to help in a time of crisis. Our ancestors created a personal connection to the spiritual world through amulets that they attached to their clothing. This small carving, which looks like both a walrus skull and two beluga whales may have ensured success in hunting those animals.
