McKinley Bay

McKinley Bay is located north of Tuktuuyaqtuuq, and is an area traditionally inhabited by a group of our Inuvialuit forebears called Nuguvarmiut between 1500 and 1700 AD. This large site contains at least 12 winter houses made of sod and driftwood. They appear today as low mounds with depressions marking the interior and tunnel entrances.
