Harvesting a whale gives us a real sense of being Inuvialuit. Everyone, of all ages, works together. This is what keeps our culture alive. Traditionally, after a harvest the community celebrates with a drum dance. When I harvest and when I drum it feels good. It makes me feel connected to my ancestors.
