Federal Indian Day Schools Settlement

2020AD

This agreement compensates those who attended Indian Day Schools for the harms they experienced there. These schools were operated by the Government of Canada from 1920 until 1969. There were Federal Day Schools in Aktlarvik, Inuuvik, Ikaahuk, Tuktuuyaqtuuq and Ulukhaqtuuq.
