Residential School Apology from Government of Canada

On June 11, 2008, on behalf of the Government of Canada and all Canadians, Prime Minister Stephen Harper formally apologises to former students of Indian Residential Schools, their families and communities, and asked their forgiveness for failing them so profoundly.
