The MacFarlane Collection includes some of the earliest examples of Inuvialuit graphic art. Eight wood plaques have scenes on one or both sides created using incised lines and red and black pigments, and two side pieces from a wood box have scenes on one side produced with pigments alone. These scenes provide details about the culture and history of the Inuvialuit who traded at Fort Anderson, while adding a sense of mystery and humour.
